Patricia’s quilts include traditional patchwork and original designs. She has experimented with geometric designs as well as landscapes and architectural scenes. She uses traditional quilting materials, ethnic fabrics acquired during her many travels, as well as fabrics which she paints and dyes herself. Her designs are also often enhanced by gifts or exchanges of fabric from other fiber artists and embellished with beads, buttons, and trinkets gathered during her foreign travels. Her work has an abundance of symbolic content which gives each piece special meaning and evokes special memories.
Included with each image in the Quilt Collection Gallery is a description of the design and the artist's inspiration. A special note of thanks to faculty members who made quilts from their personal collections available to be photographed.
