UPCOMING EVENT: Drug Take-Back Day, Sat. 9/29/12

Saturday, September 29th, 2012 is DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Law students have the opportunity to help educate the community about proper drug disposal in conjunction with UMB Campus Police, the American Pharmacists Association, Generation Rx, the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group, the Student Section of Maryland Public Health Association, the National Community Pharmacists Association, and Students Promoting Awareness. 

The Student Health Law Organization is looking for volunteers to work the law school information table at the UMB Police Annex, 222 North Pine Street, during each of the following times:

Wednesday, September 26th 

10:00am-12:00pm

12:00pm-2:00pm

Saturday, September 29th

10:00am-12:00pm

12:00pm-2:00pm

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in Food and Drug Law, Public Health, and Public Interest.  It will also be a good chance to work in an interdisciplinary setting with fellow graduate students at the Pharmacy School and get a service activity on your resume.  On the days of the event, we will be handing out information regarding health law and the legal issues surrounding drug disposal. We are excited to have a strong turnout this year, and to a continued partnership with the School of Pharmacy student groups.
