Professor Michelle Harner’s article “The Value of ‘Thinking Like a Lawyer,’” which will be published in the April 2011 issue of Maryland Law Review, is the 1000th item posted in the Faculty Publications Series in the Digital Commons, the School of Law’s institutional repository. Her article examines the changes the legal profession is experiencing and is based on remarks she made at the University of Maryland School of Law’s Symposium on the Profession and the Academy: Addressing Major Changes in Law Practice in April 2010.
The Digital Commons showcases the depth and breadth of scholarship at the School of Law and provides open access to print material as well as to content in a variety of other formats including videos, presentations, and links to social networking sites. The Digital Commons contains over 2,200 individual items and received more than 110,000 downloads of content in the past year.
